|  Alex is a five year old paint gelding that is registered and has been in the family all of his life. He belongs to my niece but she is not in a position to take care of Alex so I have taken on that responsibility. He is priced at $1300 only to get board, vet and shot fees. He is a great grand son of the famous paint horse Gambling Man, has Far Ute Keno, Buz Burnett, Yellow badger and Rock Buster on his papers. His foundation training is reining so even though he is a big, heavy horse he is very light to ride and very bridley. He also had a few months of training with a barrel trainer as that is what his owner wants to do but Skip just does not have the 'need' for the kind of speed. He will do it but it is not his 'thing'. He has tracked cattle and buffalo and is currently with a cowboy/rope horse trainer roping and tracking the hot heels. Have been told he has natural talent to be a heck of a heel horse. Skip has also been trail ridden a lot and is great to ride out! He does not mind other horses and always keeps his manners. He is good in the hills and is a great horse to use on the ranch! He has been hauled a LOT and spent days tied to the side of the trailer with other horses.

He has a trot to die. Breaks my heart to sell him but I have a project barrel horse now, hubby won't ride him, kids have their own horses and he really needs someone to love him. He ADORES kids and will pack them around ALL DAY LONG either on lead line, pack on trail or following someone in an arena. If being ridden alone he would require an intermediate rider as he does have a good stride down the trails, doesn't neck rein and would be considered still in the "tug and kick" stage from time to time.
