Dun Breezin has had little opportunity to prove himself as a sire, but has done well so far.  He has a good disposition, good conformation, great bone and feet. He is absolutely beautiful with a spectacular honey gold summer coat and a metallic sheen that glistens in the sun plus, his long mane and tail get him appreciably noticed – he makes a lasting good impression to the people that see or meet him.  He is a grandson to the great ‘Tough Breeze’ (APHA Supreme CH.) as well as carrying the good lines of War Chant/Jet Deck and Joe Hancock – foundation speed with foundation ranch.  He is passing wonderful traits as well as color – strength, vitality and an excellent work ethic.   His colts are versatile from prepping for show in the Bay area to packing cowboys into the High Sierras.   Dun Breezin is a quality stallion passing quality traits into his colts.

Stud fee for 2010 - $700.00 (LFG) Includes non-refundable $150.00 booking fee.

"Skip" is a BIG, kind and very athletic stallion who is homozygous for tobiano and a proven producer. His foundation training is reining so even though he is a big, heavy horse he is very light to ride and very bridley. He also had a few months of training with a barrel trainer as that is what his owner wants to do but Skip just does not have the 'need' for the kind of speed. He will do it but it is not his 'thing'. He has tracked cattle and buffalo and is currently with a cowboy/rope horse trainer roping and tracking the hot heels. Have been told he has natural talent to be a heck of a heel horse. Skip has also been trail ridden a lot and is great to ride out! He does not mind other horses and always keeps his manners. He is good in the hills and is a great horse to use on the ranch! He has been hauled a LOT and spent days tied to the side of the trailer with other horses.

His stud fee is $600.00 with a $200.00 booking fee included. Breed him til sold. He is Homozgyous Tobaino so will never sire a solid foal! Open to all mares, also will offer a multi-mare discount!

He has no vices, no buck and has always been very sound and healthy. He is VERY gentle when breeding and very easy to handle. If you don't want a stallion he would make an absolutely fabulous gelding! Price to sell at $8,000 offers are open Can see him and his foals at www.vistaviewstables.net

    Munez Smokin Tater

Standing here at The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station and only for a limited time in California.

Munez Smokin Tater   is a Triple Registered 2007 AQHA  Bay Stallion  (APHA & NFQHA) and is a grandson of Mr Gun Smoke.  He is 95% Foundation with greats such as Cutter Bill actually on his papers along with the legendary Mr Gun Smoke and Royal King , just off his papers and a sire that is present in many of the current day cutting horses.  He is also double bred Poco Bueno , Leo, Doc Bar, Okie Leo and more.  He is a solid bay quarter horse whose sire (now deceased) was a double  registered AQHA/APHA  (Overo) son of Mr Gun Smoke.   His dam also came from 2 NCHA money earners as were most of the horses on his dam's side of the pedigree.  Click on his registered name to view his extended pedigree.

"Tater"  is owned by Elizabeth Green, owner of EZG Performance Horses of Iowa City, IA.  He is a good-looking, well put together stallion who has a winning disposition to go

with his winning bloodlines.  His owner has plans to show him as a 4 year old, after getting a small crop of foals on the ground out of a few quality mares here in California, and across the U.S.

He will be standing here at The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station in  2010 and will be taught to mount the phantom for collection into an AV for on farm artificial insemination, cooled shipped semen across the country, as well as frozen semen to preserve this tremendous bloodline forever.   His introductory stud fee will be just $500 with a $50 booking fee that goes toward that stud fee.  Mare care is $7/day for a dry mare and $9/day for a wet mare (with a foal at her side).  The cost for cooled shipped semen shipped via Fed Ex is only $175 to anywhere in the U.S and Canada.

There will be a Live Foal Guarantee with all breedings to this stallion and we will also offer a Live Colored Foal Guarantee to any APHA Regular registry paint mares, with a $100 "Insurance"  fee paid with the current year's stud fee.  This $100 Insurance fee would give you the right to rebreed your mare again to this stallion, with no charge for the stud fee the following year, if your foal from that mating were to be a solid paint-bred foal and not have enough paint markings for regular registry with APHA.   This foal would still be an APHA solid paint-bred registered foal, with full APHA registration papers, but this rebreed would give you a second chance to get another  foal with color and regular APHA registry status.  Normal rebreeding expenses will apply such as mare care and shipping charges (in a case of shipped semen), and the rebreed must be done the same breeding season the solid paint- bred foal is born.

Tater arrived at The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station on the 19th of October in time for our Open House/Stallion Preview on Saturday October 24th but weather has not

permitted new photos of him for a proper flyer/poster or for this web site.  We apologize for the quality of the photos.  We will be getting current pictures of him for this web site as soon as weather permits.  Please scroll down to view his pedigree and print contracts for this stallion in pdf format.

These photos, one taken in August by the boarding facility and a couple taken here the week he arrived (he was picked up from Northern California where it was a higher elevation and already getting pretty cold so he had begun to get his winter coat...quality is not good and we apologize for that...please feel free to call and come by to see him in person if you are local and weather permitting we will try to get new photos as soon as possible (winter coat and all).

    Mr FL Fancy Pants

MR FL FANCY PANTS is a very nicely built and bred APHA 2006 Homozygous Tobiano stallion standing 16.1hh at 3 years old.

A Homozygous Buckskin Tobiano built for speed and performance.  A quick Video . taken August of 2009.

He goes back, on the top and the bottom of his pedigree, to FL Lady Bug  (Inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in 1999).  She was a producer of top race horses and known for producing speed in her foals (10 of the 11 that raced... won).   FL Fancy Pants also goes back to greats such as Fancy Deck, Top Profit, Easy Jet, Top Deck (5 times), King (9 times), Grey Badger II (4 times), Leo (6 times), Three Bars, Sugar Bars and Poco Bueno and even goes back to Man O War!   Check out his pedigree.

This super nice young Stud is big, fancy, and will definitely turn heads.  He is performance and foundation bred.  He has been tested and confirmed to be Homozygous for the Tobiano gene so he will always sire Paint foals with color even if bred to a solid or quarter horse mare.  He is an awesome Buckskin color so he carries the creme gene as well as the black and red genes and may carry dun factor as he does have a bit of a dorsal stripe showing.  He has sired a lot of buckskin and palomino paints.  He will always throw a paint!  100% of the time.  COLOR, COLOR ,COLOR!

Mr FL Fancy Pants will have his second crop on the ground and will stand at stud again in 2010 for a stud fee of $500 with a $50 booking fee that goes toward that stud fee.  He mounts the phantom and collects into an artificial vagina for on farm artificial insemination and for shipping cooled semen across the country and is getting mares in foal via cooled shipped semen.  He is a gentleman during live cover as well.  Our mare care is $7 per day for a dry mare and $9 per day for a wet mare (with foal at side) and our shipping fees are only $175 via Fed Ex.  He has also been in training and is now broke to ride and doing very well.  He is quiet and gentle and carries his head nicely with athleticism and grace.  He was in the parade this year in Lindsay, CA and we should have him competing in some cowhorse events and be roping off of him soon.

We offer early bird, multiple mare, referral and returning customer discounts as well as discounts for proven mares.  Check out our site ate www.lewisranch.com

MR FL FANCY PANTS is a very nicely built and bred APHA 2006 Homozygous Tobiano stallion standing 16.1hh at 3 years old!

    A Buckskin Tobiano Stallion:

This super nice Stud colt is big, fancy, and will definitely turn heads.  He is performance and foundation bred.  He has been tested and confirmed to be Homozygous for the Tobiano gene so he will always sire Paint foals with color even if bred to a solid or quarter horse mare.  He is a unique Buckskin color, with a bit of a dorsal stripe so he could carry dun factor.  He also carries the creme gene as well as the black and red genes.  He has been producing buckskins and palominos and will always throw a paint!  100% of the time.  The creme gene will dilute the base color of the mare for palomino and buckskin paints.  COLOR, COLOR ,COLOR!

We stood this fine stallion at stud in 2008 to a limited book of mares for an introductory stud fee of $500 with a $50 booking fee that goes toward that stud fee and again in 2009.  We evaluated his semen and it is outstanding and even settled mares via shipped semen as a 2 and 3 year old!  He live covers mares well and collects on the phantom and ships well!  He was taught to mount the phantom and collect into an artificial vagina for on farm artificial insemination and for shipping cooled shipped semen across the country.  Our mare care is $7 per day for a dry mare and $9 per day for a wet mare (with foal at side) and our shipping fees are only $175 via Fed Ex.  He was also in training and broke to ride this year...  He was in the Parade with Pbs Starbuck and Tee J Squeeky Bee in April.  We should have him competing in some cowhorse events or roping off of him soon as well.

We offer early bird, multiple mare, referral and returning customer discounts as well as discounts for proven mares.

He will, of course, fill out much more as he is only 2 and 3 years old in these photos.

He is currently standing about 16.1hh as a 3 year old.

CHESTNUT & WHITE, FLASHY, TOBIANO PAINT STALLION

Dblsmokinfreckolena or "Willie" was humanely put down April 8th, 2008, due to an unexpected illness.

...we have a couple of breedings to him frozen that we will be able to sell but the few foals hitting the ground this year will be some of his last he will ever have and this great bloodline will be lost.  What an athletic stallion with so much heart...we were not able to collect anymore semen from him for freezing before he was put down.  We had great plans for this fine stallion and his awesome bloodlines and athletic ability...he will be greatly missed, not for those unrealized plans, but for his presence, in our stud barn, our horse trailer and in our stud pastures...our ears will forever hear the sound of him calling to "his" mares out in the pastures here at The Lewis Ranch.   Willie had 2 foals hit the ground here at our ranch and a stud colt is still available for sale and he looks just like Willie... check out this fine gelding for sale, Hes Willie Smokin  is his name.   $1500  Don't let this low price fool you...This is an opportunity to own a fine Apha paint horse gelding with some of the best cowhorse bloodlines in the business.
