***UPDATE***

Welcome home C/38th!  We love you all and thank you for serving our Country.  God bless each and every one of you.

2010 is here and we can't think of a better time to turn our thoughts and prayers to those serving our great Country!  Our boy will be spending most of this new year in Iraq.  He could have stayed home, gone to Community College, and worked at the local fast food place (yes, he would have made more money there), but instead he chose to stand up for our Country.  He will be fighting for our FREEDOM - mine and yours.    Cody - Thank You!!!  We love you and we are praying for you and all of our soldiers.  THANK YOU C/38TH!!!!!!

We are including contact information for two wonderful organizations that provide much needed care packages for troops.  Below are links to their websites.
We will personally be sending  packages to Cody, and I know that there are many in his Unit that don't have anyone at home to send them anything at all.  So please consider donating whatever you can to one of these organizations.  If you would like to send a care package to one of the members in Cody's unit, please contact us by email at joanie@bucknroll.com.  Cards, letters, and care packages are appreciated!  Deployed soldiers look forward to receiving mail and YOU can brighten someone's day with a card or letter.  These brave women and men are willing to give their lives for YOU - do you have an envelope, stamp, and a few kind words to give back?

On a lighter note.............here's a picture of Cody "golfing" in Iraq.

That's some sand trap!

God Bless You.

Operation Gratitude ( www.OperationGratitude.com) is the 501 (c) (3) non-profit, volunteer organization that annually sends 100,000+ care packages of items and letters addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile overseas regions.  Its mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member's face and to express to our Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people. Each package contains donated product valued at ~$100 and costs the organization $11 to assemble and ship. Since its inception in March, 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 460,000 packages to American military deployed overseas.
